Washington, DC – The National Safe Boating Council and Sperry® Top-Sider have announced that they will once again be partnering during National Safe Boating Week. In 2007, the NSBC and Sperry joined forces to promote National Safe Boating Week through a generous offer from the nautical footwear company. A portion of proceeds from all sperrytopsider.com purchases made during NSBW were donated to support the NSBC program. Through a series of campaigns and educational awareness, the NSBC is the foremost coalition for the advancement and promotion of safer boating.

The relationship between Sperry and the NSBC began in 2006. Sperry Top-Sider became the first shoe company to join the NSBC with the joint goal of furthering the safety and enjoyment on the water, the domain of Sperry Top-Sider since 1935. The joint efforts of the NSBC and Sperry has proven to be beneficial for both so that Sperry will, once again, make a donation to the National Safe Boating Council for every pair of Top-Siders purchased online during National Safe Boating Week, this year May 17 – 23, 2008.
