Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sailing SME AWESOME Racing Shoe! I have had these shoes for about a year and a half now and I have LOVED them the whole time. The Grip-X3 soles are SO awesome and REALLY help your feet stick to the deck of a sail boat with confidence. The sneakers are lightweight, very comfortable and dry quickly. I race almost every week -- sometimes 2 and 3 times. They held up pretty good -- although the outer sides of the nylon upper are wearing holes through now, on each shoe. If I were buying the sneaker style again, I might spend the extra $20 on the SeaRacer with the rubber webbing on the sides for this (better wear-and-tear) reason. But I am on the site today because I have decided to get the the neoprene boot with the Grip-X3 sole, as at times I have wished to have a bit more ankle support when heeling. But I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND any of the Grip-X3 sole shoes to anyone who really needs to be able to move around confidently and stand strong on the deck of a heeled, racing sailboat! (And note, I do NOT have narrow feet at all... and find the width of these shoes to be just fine!) July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5Â by ctgass Love this shoe! This is the first shoe (not a sandal or flip flop) that I have found that is comfortable to wear all day without any socks. It is something that I have never been able to do, but this shoe is cool, comfortable, and very attractive. I love this shoe and was just on the site looking to buy another color so I would have two pair! June 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5Â by KittyQuig I really like these shoes! Unlike most other reviewers here, I didn't buy these shoes for boating. I bought them to have as a general kick around shoe. I really don't care for "sneakers" in general, but I need a sneaker style shoe that I can use to mix up with my other everyday shoes, so I can adjust how much wear each pair gets. I love the styling of the shoe, nice and trim. Sneakers are often so puffy and fat looking. Not these. I tend to look for slightly wider shoes (as some other reviewers said these shoe are very narrow) but I didn't find them to be too narrow. I'd say they are EVER so slightly narrow. I think if these shoes are too narrow for some, I think they may simply need to be looking for a size W in their shoes. I often wear a size 10. Sometimes a 9.5. This shoe fits me well in a 9.5. I don't feel like I am "pushing" the fit too much either. There is enough length to the foot bed and *just* enough width on my largest foot. Sperry, please keep making this style shoe! I love these and I don't see them for sale in the department stores either (Nordstrom, etc). I'll keep checking the Sperry website if I have to, so I can get this style shoe every year or so! Rated 5 out of 5Â by AnnieKateH Great big boat shoe! The SeaRace Sneaker is great for those of us who like to feel like we are not wearing "traditional" boots while on the water! They are light weight and dry quickly; perfect for big boat sailing. I think another feature that is super important is their durability. I beat up my feet pretty badly and usually have to go through multiple pairs of boots per training camp. The SeaRace Sneakers have lasted much longer than other boots I have tried!
