Rated 5 out of 5Â by SailMoana Excellent Boot These boots are perfect if you get wet while sailing. Your feet will stay dry & warm. They do fit snug, so order 1/2 size longer. October 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Stainless Steel Fit Greatly Depends on the Socks Worn I just bought a pair of 10.5 Medium boots. With thin socks or barefoot it fits fine. With crew socks or thick cold weather socks, it is a little too tight in the toe area. I am sailor and sport fisherman. I race sailboats. My purpose is to wear the boots when air temperatures go below 70 degrees F or when there is a lot of water, rain, or spray on deck with water temperatures below 74 degrees F. I sail in the Gulf of Mexico all year around and on Lake Erie in three seasons. (I fish on the Great Lakes in winter, then I use my Sorel boots rated for -100 degrees F. They are lace-ups and fit well with thick cold winter socks.) September 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5Â by BobW Fits well and I'm not a easy fit for boots I hate pulling on boots and taking them off. This boot has two really good features that are not mentioned in the product info and hard to see in the pics. The "leather" side part of the boot about 4" from top is a built-in boot pull. This really helps...no flimsy little tab at the top. The heel of the boot has a little built in "ledge" that is great to use the other foot to provide leverage to remove the boot. I can't wear all boots because of an high arch and wide foot and this fit fine. The height of the boot is 15" which puts it right at the biggest part of my calf. The boot has an 18" opening so if you have a large calf like mine you might want to measure up 15" and see if you are less than 18" in diameter. It was close on me and one of my other friends. The tall skinny guy had no problem over us shorter stocker guys. I have not hosed it down so I don't know how water proof it is. So can't comment on that. April 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Tom Questions of sizing using mail order I normally purchase shoes and boots at a store because of sizing problems. Ordered the Sperrys the same size as some other shoes and then worried because my old boots were two sizes smaller. I see one of the reviews says the Sperrys run small. Maybe that is why they are comfortable for me. They wee tight at first, but much better after I took ALL of the cardboard packing out of the boots! The replaced short boots from anothere source and I was afraid the tall boot would be a problem. It wasn't. They are flexible enough to allow kneeling and other movements required by crewing.
