Rated 4 out of 5Â by Skipper boots are too good not to be better
Fit and workmanship are fine. Whether materials withstand test of protracted use to be determined.
I am a racing sailor and have used Sperry products for 60 years!
Being expensive boots, they should have a leather loop on back at top to facilitate pulling them on, which other boots often have.
Also, and importantly, these boots should have high quality woven material laces which are clearly superior to the leather laces which come with the Sperry boots. I will replace the Sperry leather laces ASAP.
These boots are too good not to be better.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JV1 Excellent quality and style. Very warm in cold temperatures.
I purchased these based on styling in an Outdoor Magazine advertisement. I use them in southern Colorado at a ski resort that I frequent. Wow, what is nice fitting and very warm boot. Sperry is definitely coming out with some nice product outside their normal historic shoes. Very stylish as well. True to fit and highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TGAIII Superb boot!!
I was invited on a hunting trip in the Colorado mountains, and I had not been on a trip like it before. I knew I needed a great boot, at my age, and one that was comfortable. I have owned three pair of Gold Cup boat shoes over the past 20 years or so, and I still have all three! The first is now old and scarred, and the sole is almost smooth, but it is my "hard work" pair. I have a "go out for shopping and flying" pair, and I have a "dress" pair. When I saw that there was a new Gold Cup boot, I jumped at it, and it worked perfectly! It was comfortable, lighter than my partner on the trip, and kept my feet warm. I chose the normal size I where in a shoe, and it apparent that Sperry realized most folks would be wearing thick socks with this style of footwear, and the boot accommodated that. I am very pleased, very impressed, and got lots of great comments about them.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Manu /) Great style and utility
I live in the Pacific Northwest and if there is anything we know of it's cold and rainy winters. These boots have quickly become my favorite fall/winter pair of Sperry Topsiders as they are incredibly comfortable, warm and most of all keep your feet dry regardless of the weather. Also worth mentioning is their practicality. They are simple enough to wear for a ferry ride across the Salish Sea, yet elegant enough to wear a night out on the town. Absolutely recommend the Gold Cup Gold Bay Boot.
