I was looking for some black deck shoes and had a hard time finding them. I finally saw these in Dillards but they were so expensive so I passed. Then I went back to get them but they did not have my size. So I bought them online. Boy am I ever glad I changed my mind. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and were so worth the money that I ordered these brown ones as well. Now I have two comfortable pairs of shoes. Good job Sperry!

These shoes are the best. They're very stylish, extremely flexible, and very cushioned. By far the best boat shoe that I have ever bought. Even though they're pretty expensive, I could easily see myself with a couple pairs of these.

My first Gold cup series. I have had at least 8 pair over the past 40 years of the Authentic boat shoes. "Can't Beat Them"
I think the Gold Cup series will be great.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Arturo Very comfy, but may not be afull muccasin construction. I have some concerns about the softness of the outer leather.
Having worn topsiders for 30 yearsâ¦through the prep school mania and college, I remember an American made product that had a more durable and better tranned leatherâ¦like it had come from Horwein or a plave like that. Also, the soles were a bit more substantial. The Gold Cup I have has a litter thicker sole than the originals I used to wear, but it is a bit softer sole. It does stick well, but the softness is not quite what I remember. The soft insides are pleasantly nice to the touch, and that softness does not bother me. Inside the shoe when you peek, looking in the front, appears to be a full moccasin construction based on the front stitching. But if you peek under the cushioned insert at the heel, it appears that under that section there is a section without leather. I may be corrected, but if that is the case it seems like a cheap choice when it would take very little to do the full moc which made all Topsiders special and added quality. I wish that this company had stayed in US as did another great moccasin and shoe maker (Maine) and had kept the quality to what it was when I grew up. But we will see how these wear. No question they are very attractive shoes.
