"These are very handsome sandals. I buy them for my husband. I buy both colors as these are the only sandals he wears. He tried buying a different pair for less money and he told me to go ahead and keep getting these. I have now purchased 6 pairs over the last 5 or 6 years. "I purchased the Santa Cruz thong in January of 2006. I live full time in a warm resort area, and wear these as preferred footwear. Even having worn them almost every day, all day, after two years they were still going strong, with only the area between the toes starting to show evidence of age. "I buy these sandals for two reasons...they do not slip on wet surfaces and the attachments do not pull out. I have pulled my sandals out of ankle deep mud and they stay together (in locations where I really didn't want to lose my footwear)....I have worn these sandals on wooden deep water decks..concrete..metal boat hulls...piers etc. and they don't slip where a slip could mean trouble..my old ones have been used everywhere and they are still holding together after 3 years of hard use" - Mike Leahan, Sun Prairie, WI

Only complaint is that size is not etched somewhere on the shoe so I can tell what size to re-order (seriously, you should consider this - looks like most buyers become repeat buyers, if they can remember what size they bought last time). I wear size 12 in some shoes and size 13 in others."

"I leave these by the kitchen door. When home from office, I put them on. The best thing is you can wear them in the yard/garden, get dirty/muddy, and then just wash them off easily with the hose and they look new again. I love 'em."
